About This Coffee

Arkau Coffee which collects cherry and parchment in Obura-Wonenara district of the Eastern Highlands province, where much high-quality coffee is grown in Papua New Guinea. Primarily sourcing from the Tairora-Gadsup, Yellia and Lamari local-level government groups (LLGs), Arkau serves a vital role as a collector in transporting coffee from the remote, mountainous areas where they are grown and bringing them to market.

PNG's Eastern Highlands range in altitude between 1,700 and 2,000masl and are known for their cool temperatures which allows for a longer cherry maturation on the tree, which typically translates to the development of more complex flavour compounds in the final cup.

Nearly Perfect

We tried Papua New Guinea, Kunjn beans for the first time in February, and enjoyed them. The blend wasn’t quite as flavorful as our favorite, the Ethiopian Shakiso, nor as deep as the Guatemalan, hence the 4 stars. Still a lovely choice!

Easy morning drinking

We love this one! It's a great breakfast coffee. Not too acidic or bitter!

Papua New Guinsa Kunjin First tastes

This was the first time for this blend. I find it smooth, mellow, and great taste with no real aftertaste like some other blends. I had to move away from Danville area, but find a quick delivery, and very fresh. I do use beans and grind myself. I just wish I could find the web site to order beans quicker. I usually end up in order for pick-up. But I love the taste of home.
